Objective of this project

Project REIINN’s objective for LokaLTE is to provide internet connection to rural areas with the use of the available LTE band 71. The use of low frequency bands such as band 71 or 617 MHz – 698 MHz frequency range for Long-Term Evolution or LTE is still not utilized in the Philippines. LokaLTE also intends to become the alternative learning system for the new normal brought by the pandemic. Remote learning is hard to achieve when the connection in your community is difficult to establish. The free access servers such as LokaLFlix and the LokaLTE Portal that does not require external network connection will lessen the limited data usage from the backhaul; a caching proxy server is also introduced to the system to further reduce the data consumption of the LokaLTE cellular network.
